Bucks Take Game 1, Jets Fire GM
BASKETBALL
Through three quarters, the Toronto Raptors led the Milwaukee Bucks and looked like they would take game one of the Eastern Conference Final. Kyle Lowry scored 30 points for the Raptors, but the team couldn’t hold on, and the Bucks’ Brook Lopez took control in the fourth quarter for a 108-100 win.
FOOTBALL
The New York Jets fired General Manager Mike Maccagnan and VP of player personnel Brian Heimerdinger. The timing of the firing seemed odd. Maccagnan had two years left on his contract, and he had just signed running back Le’Veon Bell and linebacker C.J. Mosley in free agency. Coach Adam Gase will act as interim GM while the team searches for his replacement.
