Tiger And Girlfriend Face Wrongful Death Lawsuit, Sixers Coach Brett Brown To Return

GOLF

Tiger Woods and his girlfriend, the general manager of his restaurant called The Woods, face a wrongful death lawsuit by the parents of one of the bartenders at the restaurant.  Nicholas Immesberger died from a car accident caused by a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, and the lawsuit claims Immesberger was overserved even though “Tiger knew, or reasonably should have known, that Immesberger was habitually addicted to the use of any or all alcoholic beverages, and/or was a habitual drunkard.” Woods is playing in the PGA Championship in Farmingdale, NY this week.

Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown will continue to coach the team next season. Reports had circulated that if the Sixers did not advance to the Conference Finals, Brown would be fired. The Sixers managing partner, Josh Harris, confirmed with ESPN that Brown will return even though the team lost a devastating game 7 to the Toronto Raptors (thanks to a historic buzzer beater). According to the Sixers star center Joel Embiid, “I don’t think he should have anything to worry about. He’s an amazing coach, a better person, and obviously, I’ve got a lot of love for him. If there is someone to blame, put it all on me.”
