Durant Suffers Knee Injury, McIIroy Takes Heat Playing With Trump, Jets Release Revis

BASKETBALL

Kevin Durant suffered a knee injury which could impact the rest of the Golden State Warriors season.  The Warriors announced they will release the results of his MRI soon. In the first quarter of the Warriors loss to the Washington Wizards, Golden State’s Center Zaza Pachulia was fouled and accidentally fell into Durant’s leg. An injured Durant would be devastating for the Team.

GOLF

Current #3 in the world, Rory McIIroy has been taking some heat for playing golf with President Trump. Some on social media claim he’s making a political statement. According to McIIroy, he was just excited to play with a sitting President. He said,  “I wanted to go there and see 30 Secret Service and 30 cops and snipers in the trees. I mean, it was just a surreal experience for me to see something like that. That was part of the reason I wanted to go and play. It’s not as if we were speaking foreign policy out there. We were talking about golf and the grass that he put on the greens and the grass that he’s putting on the greens at Doral. We talked golf the entire day. I think he was happier to talk golf than anything else that he has to do these days.”

FOOTBALL

The New York Jets released 31 year old cornerback Darrelle Revis. Revis has been to the pro-bowl 7 times and was such a force in his day, he was nicknamed “Revis Island” for his domination of opposing receivers. Revis will become an unrestricted free agent on March 9th, but he’s still dealing with a run-in last month in Pittsburgh where he was charged with aggravated assault.
