Steph Curry And Dad Put On Show, Goodell’s Press Conference, Alabama’s #1 Recruiting

Steph and Dell CurryStephen Curry put on a show Wednesday night hitting 11-3 pointers and posting 39 points in 3 quarters during the Golden State Warriors win over the Charlotte Hornets. Fans could have predicted the game would be special when Steph passed the ball before the game to his Dad, Dell Curry, who played in the NBA for 16 years and now Charlotte Hornets broadcaster. Dell banked a 3-pointer from the sidelines (while wearing a suit). “It’s always cool, obviously, seeing my Dad on the sidelines, commentating the games on their end,” said Steph Curry, “I don’t take those opportunities for granted. It’s an unbelievable opportunity to play the game that he played for 16 years in the NBA, and carry on that name in the league.” Warriors 126, Hornets 111.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell held his annual pre-Super Bowl news conference where he answered questions on Deflategate, returning to the Patriots Gillette Stadium, Raiders and Chargers moves to Vegas and LA and even his opinion of Trump’s immigration policies. On the awkwardness of his relationship with Tom Brady and the Patriots, he said, “We have a job to do. We do our job. As I said, there was a violation. We applied a process and discipline, and we came to a conclusion that was supported by the facts and by the courts. So from our standpoint, we understand the fans who are loyal and passionate for a team object and don’t like the outcome. I totally understand that. That’s not an issue for me.” As for his opinion of Trump, he deflected nicely by saying, “As commissioner of the NFL, I’m singularly focused on the Super Bowl right now.”

As reported, yesterday was National Signing Day and to no one’s surprise, Nick Saban’s Alabama had the #1 recruiting class.
