UConn Wins 100th Straight Game, Adam Silver Mediates Oakley/Dolan Fight, Armstrong’s $100 Mill Lawsuit

BASKETBALL

The University of Connecticut women’s basketball team secured their place in history by winning their 100th straight game. Not only is that feat impressive, but it’s even more remarkable that before coach Geno Auriemma joined the team in 1985, UConn hadn’t won 100 games in its entire history.

The Commissioner of the NBA, Adam Silver, mediated the feud between Charles Oakley and and Jim Dolan in order to save the Knicks and Oakley’s reputations.  Silver asked Michael Jordan to call in and help with the discussion. Apparently each party apologized, and Dolan even expressed how he’d like Oakley to join him as his guest at Madison Square Garden sometime soon

CYCLING

Lance Armstrong may be liable for $100 million dollars if the federal government wins their lawsuit (on behalf of the US Postal Service). The US Postal Service sponsored Armstrong’s cycling team, but didn’t know the Team used drugs and blood transfusions in order to win. In 2013 Armstrong admitted to doping and was stripped of all of his seven Tour de France medals.
