Zion Signs With Jordan Brands, Adrian Peterson In Debt

BASKETBALL

The New Orleans Pelicans’ rookie Zion Williamson signed a seven-year shoe contract with Jordan Brands. The #1 pick in the NBA draft was courted by many shoe companies, but according to Zion, it was his “dream” to wear the Jordan logo. He said, “I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of the Jordan Brand family. Since I was a kid, I dreamed of making it to the league & having the type of impact on the game Michael Jordan had & continues to have today. He was one of those special athletes I looked up to.” The Jordan Brand also represents Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Jimmy Butler, and Blake Griffin.

FOOTBALL

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson is having financial trouble even though he has made close to $100 million over his 13 seasons in the NFL. Peterson’s lawyer explained that this is “yet another situation of an athlete trusting the wrong people and being taken advantage of by those he trusted.” Peterson will enter Redskins training camp this week competing with Derrius Guice for the starting position.
