Packers Lose To Seahawks On TNF, Mahomes Ketchup For Life, Anthony No Longer Rocket

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has been taking the heat for his team’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks Thursday night. The Packers had the chance to put the game away, but failed to convert on a number of occasions (many blaming McCarthy for bad calls) and are now 4-5-1 on the season. Seahawks 24, Packers 21.
Patrick Mahomes, the celebrated Kansas City Chiefs quarterback who is having a remarkable season, told ESPN recently that he loves ketchup but now that he’s famous, is embarrassed to order it (especially when he’s eating steak). Heinz Ketchup responded by offering Mahomes a lifetime supply if he scores 57 touchdowns this season (which would also mean he’d be breaking Peyton Manning’s record of scoring 55 throwing TD’s and one running in a season). Mahomes has been on a roll this year and is widely considered the top contender for MVP.
BASKETBALL
Carmelo Anthony’s brief stint with the Houston Rockets is officially over. Anthony was signed as a free agent this summer, played poorly in 10 games, and is now looking for a new home. Rockets GM said, “Carmelo had a tremendous approach during his time with the Rockets and accepted every role head coach Mike D’Antoni gave him. The fit we envisioned when Carmelo chose to sign with the Rockets has not materialized, therefore we thought it was best to move on as any other outcome would have been unfair to him.†No word yet on which team will pick him up.
