Ingram Honores Bryant, Brees Moves Ahead Of Favre, Anthony May Not Return

FOOTBALL

Former Dallas Cowboy superstar Dez Bryant signed a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints last week and just 48 hours later, tore his Achilles’ tendon, ending his season. His new teammate Mark Ingram paid a tribute to him on Sunday by crossing his arms in the form of an X after he scored a touchdown in the Saints win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Ingram explained the gesture and said, “Great playmaker, good dude, and we all hated to see what happened on Friday. So we just wanted to let him know he’s still part of us, and we’re holding him down.” Running back Alvin Kamara and receiver Michael Thomas also honored Bryant after scoring their touchdowns. Saints’ Quarterback Drew Brees had a big day moving ahead of Brett Favre and right behind Peyton Manning for career touchdown passes. Saints 51, Bengals 14.

BASKETBALL

The Houston Rockets may have seen the end of their very short tenure with Carmelo Anthony. Anthony signed a one year deal with the Rockets but hasn’t been performing up to his All-Star status. At 34 years old, he’s now only averaging 13.4 points.  He’s also missed the last two games with an “illness”, and his teammates don’t know if he’ll return.
