Rams-Chiefs Highest Scoring Game In MNF History, Mark Sanchez Returns As Backup

FOOTBALL

At 105 points in total, the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs battled it out for the highest scoring game in Monday Night Football’s 49-year history. It was also the first time in NFL history both teams scored over 50 points. With 14 touchdowns, a combined 1001 yards, and eight lead changes, this was a game to remember. The Rams slightly edged out the Chiefs in the end by a score of 54-51.  Rams coach Sean McVay summed up his feelings at the end of the game by saying “It was a whirlwind. I feel like I might need a couple of beverages to relax.”

A day after Alex Smith went down with a season-ending injury, the Washington Redskins signed Mark Sanchez as the backup QB for Colt McCoy. Sanchez was with the Dallas Cowboys last season but hasn’t played in a game since 2016. He was let go in April of last year and had to serve a 4-game suspension for violating performance-enhancing substances. Redskins coach Jay Gruden believes Sanchez is ready to step in if necessary.
