FOOTBALL

In Thursday night football, the Green Bay Packers QB broke a record, while the Chicago Bears QB broke an arm.  Brian Hoyer, filling in for an injured Jay Cutler, went down with a broken arm in the second quarter after a big hit from Packers defenders Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers, who has been in a bit of a slump, turned things around with a franchise record of 39 completed passes.  Packers 26, Bears 10.

In other NFL news, New York Giants kicker, Josh Brown, was suspended for one game last year for reports he abused his former wife. The charges were dropped but recently reports came out showing his journal entries with an admission he abused her. One particular entry stated, “I have physically, mentally, emotionally and verbally been a repulsive man. I have abused my wife.” The Giants (and the NFL) stated they will review the newly released documents before making any decisions on Brown’s future.
