49ers Lose To Cardinals, Kaep May Replace Gabbert, Jays & Indians Win 1st Game Series

FOOTBALL

Chip KellyAfter another disappointing loss, San Francisco 49ers coach Chip Kelly is now talking about switching out QB Blaine Gabbert for backup Colin Kaepernick. Gabbert threw for one touchdown and two interceptions in the 49er loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He was also sacked 7 times which clearly makes it difficult to perform well. The Cardinals took advantage of the Niners weaknesses, and even though playing with a backup QB in Drew Stanton (Carson Palmer was out with a concussion), wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and running back David Johnson took over to secure the win. Cardinals 33, 49ers 21.

Thursday afternoons American League Division Series matchup between the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays seemed to end as soon as the fans settled into their seats. The Blue Jays posted 7 runs in just the first 4 innings to cruise to a 10-1 victory.

The other American League Division series matchup played on Thursday between the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians provided a bit more excitement with a close 5-4 Indians victory. Game 2 of the series kicks off on Friday night and Cleveland fans should get a nice surprise as LeBron James and some other Cleveland Cavalier teammates are expected to be in attendance.
