Philip Rivers Retires, Sarah Thomas Makes History As First Female SB Official, Tiger Woods 5th Back Surgery

Philip Rivers announced he’s retiring from the NFL after an incredibly successful 17-year career as a quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers (16 years) and Indianapolis Colts (1 year). The future Hall of Famer said, “I’m excited to go coach high school football. … What has helped me come to this (decision) is the growing desire to coach high school football. That’s what I’ve always wanted to do. It’s been growing. I can’t wait.”

Sarah Thomas will make history as the first female Super Bowl official at this year’s Championship. She will be the Down Judge at Super Bowl LV.

Tiger Woods underwent a fifth back surgery (microdiscectomy) and will be out at least two months. He’s expected (and fans are hoping) to return in time for the Masters on April 8th.
