Ledecky’s 3rd Gold, USA Men’s Basketball Tough Game, Green Water For Divers

Katie LedeckyKatie Ledecky strikes again. The US Team fell behind in the first three legs of the 4×200 relay and were trailing Australia by .89 seconds before Ledecky dove in and as the anchor, helped the team win Gold by 1.84 seconds. Australia took the Silver and Canada grabbed the Bronze.

After two one-sided blowout games against China and Venezuela, USA men’s basketball finally got a challenge Wednesday night against Australia. Trailing at halftime and then trailing again in the 4th quarter, the US Team fought hard and pulled out the win. With a game high 31 points, Carmelo Anthony became Team USA’s all-time leading scorer in Olympic history. USA 98, Australia 88.

green poolIf you’ve been watching the diving or water polo events, you’ve noticed the water is an odd shade of green. According to officials, some chemicals were missing but there was no risk to the athletes. Apparently they “found” these chemicals and the water will be back to blue going forward.
