Phelps Wins 20th, 21st Gold, Ledecky Takes Gold And Almost Throws Up, USA Gymnasts One For Ages, Norman’s Fox Gig
OLYMPICS
Michael Phelps won his 20th gold medal and bested South African Chad le Clos (whom he lost to in London four years ago and who now famously taunted him before a heat Monday for the 200 meter butterfly). Phelps stood on the podium, received his gold medal then went back in the pool and anchored his team’s 4×200 freestyle relay to win his 21st gold medal. Just to highlight how unbelievable Phelps is, no other Olympian athlete has won more than 9 golds in his/her career. Phelps has 3 more races to go in Rio so expect another medal, or two or three before the games are over.
Katie Ledecky won her second gold medal of the Olympics. Ledecky won the 200 meter freestyle Tuesday night and now has the 400 and 800 meter freestyle events to go. If she wins all three, she will match only one swimmer in history, Debbie Meyer, who captured these three events in the 1968 Olympics.  The 200 meter freestyle was Ledecky’s hardest event and even said, “I’m pretty sure it’s the closest I’ve come to throwing up in the middle of a race.”
No one doubted the U.S gymnastic team was among the best of all time, but they were flawless Tuesday night with an almost 8.3 point victory over 2nd place Russia. Individually, the fabulous five (Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian) won all 12 of their events to cruise away with an impressive Team Gold.

Washington Redskins’ cornerback Josh Norman will contribute to the Fox network this season. Norman explained his decision to join the network as a way to “expand his career outside of football” during his downtime during the season. Redskins’ coach, Jay Gruden seemed to be in the dark about Norman’s new gig but Norman claimed it was no big deal.
