Pat Summitt Loses Battle With Dementia, Buddy Ryan Passes, Kris Bryant Historic Night

Hall of Fame coach, Pat Summitt lost her battle with early onset dementia and passed away at the age of 64. As the coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, she had an unparalleled work ethic and was named Naismith Coach of the Century. She was legendary for her successes and was also universally loved by her players, fans and those who knew her.
FOOTBALL
In other sad news, former Head Coach in the NFL, Buddy Ryan passed away. He spent 7 seasons as the Head Coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals and won Super Bowl III as the defensive coach with the New York Jets.  He was known as a defensive guru and masterminded the famous Chicago Bears’ “46 defense” which helped the Bears beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XX.

The Chicago Cubs’ Kris Bryant had an historic night against the Cincinnati Reds. He hit 3 home runs and 2 doubles making him the only players to ever have that combination of hits
