Messi Retires From National Team, Summitt’s Health Declining

After Argentina’s emotional loss to Chile in the Copa America final, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi announced he’ll retire from the National Team. Messi expressed his disappointment in trying for years to win a national title with Argentina and said he’s finally given up. “I tried my hardest. It’s been four finals, and I was not able to win. I tried everything possible. It hurts me more than anyone, but it is evident that this is not for me. I want more than anyone to win a title with the national team, but unfortunately, it did not happen.”

The legendary University of Tennessee’s women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt’s health has been deteriorating.  Summitt has been suffering from Alzheimers and according to her family, her condition in the last few days has declined. Summitt took Tennessee to 8 National Championships and 22 Final Fours. She also boasted 1, 098 victories which is a record for any coach.
