Luck’s 4 TD’s Was Enough For Colts Win Over Giants, Sanchez In For Eagles, A-Rod Pays For Silence

FOOTBALL

Andrew LuckIn the NFL, it was Monday Night Football between the Indianapolis Colts and New York Giants.  The Colts were looking to bounce back after getting destroyed by Pittsburgh last week, and the Giants, reeling from injuries, were trying to pull off an unexpected upset.  Unfortunately for the Giants,  Andrew Luck and the Colts came ready to play with Luck throwing for 4 TD’. Their offense was clicking on all cylinders s and they demolished the Giants.  The Giants will spring to life every few weeks, and their first round draft pick Odell Beckham Jr. is looking like a winner, but a late season playoff run doesn’t look like it’s in their cards.  Colts 40, Giants 24
Mark SanchezElsewhere in the NFL, the Eagles are having a very good season, but on Sunday they lost their starting quarterback Nick Foles to a broken collar bone.  Some good news for Eagles fans, however, as it was reported yesterday that Foles won’t need surgery to repair the bone.  This means that he will likely be out for a stretch of games, but he could be ready for the playoffs.  Their back-up QB Mark Sanchez will get the ball in the meantime. Head coach Chip Kelly has always been impressed by Sanchez when he coached against him while Sanchez was at USC.

Finally, in baseball, it’s being reported that the Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez actually paid his cousin over $1 million not to report to the media that he was using PEDs.  His cousin, Yuri Sucart, helped Alex Rodriguez obtain the PEDs and there is legitimate documentation that A-Rod paid Sucart $700,000 for his silence, followed by a few additional payments of $200,000 each. It’s tough to know if A-Rod will have any career left, but stories like this definitely don’t help.
