Joel Embiid won NBA MVP! Embiid didn’t start playing basketball until he was 16 years old, then got a scholarship to Kansas, and was selected as the #3 pick in the NBA Draft. Congrats!
The Los Angeles Lakers won Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Golden State Warriors 117-112. The Lakers’ Anthony Davis had a stellar outing with 30 points and 20 rebounds (the first Laker since Shaq in 2004 to do so in a playoff game).
In the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the New York Knicks evened the series with the Heat with a 111-105 win in Game 2. The buzz on social media during and after the game, however, was how amazing Jessica Alba looked while sitting courtside.
