The NY Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, and Houston Astros all swept their opponents in the best-of-three Wild Card series to advance to the American League Division Series.

The Yankees advanced by outlasting the Cleveland Indians in an intense game stretching into Thursday morning. According to the stats, the marathon matchup of four hours and 50 minutes ranks as the longest nine-inning game in baseball history. The Yankees will now face the Tampa Bay Rays in a best-of-five series.

FOOTBALL

After another player and one personnel member associated with the Tennessee Titans tested positive for COVID-19, the NFL decided to postpone the upcoming game with the Pittsburgh Steelers until later this season.

The Minnesota Vikings were taking precautions as well after their game against the Titans last weekend, but no one has tested positive, so they’ve reopened their facility and will plan to play the Texans this weekend.
