The World Series matchup is set. Thanks in part to a monstrous seventh-inning home run by Cody Bellinger, the LA Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves in an exciting Game 7. They will now take on the Tampa Bay Rays who bested the Houston Astros in their Game 7. The Dodgers haven’t won the World Series since 1988, and the Rays have never held the title. Game 1 is on Tuesday at 8:09 pm ET.
FOOTBALL
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers obliterated the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Brady even connected with tight end Rob Gronkowski for their 91st touchdown (the third most by any teammates trailing only Steve Young to Jerry Rice with 92 TD’s and Peyton Manning to Marvin Harrison at 114).
In the NCAA over the weekend, Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week, was able to coach on Saturday and led the Crimson Tide to a 41-24 win over their rival Georgia.
The Big Ten and Mountain West begin their delayed 2020 season this weekend with a much-anticipated matchup between Ohio State and Nebraska.
