Dodgers Take Game 1 Thanks To Kershaw, Bellinger, & Betts, Cohen Cleared To Buy Mets

BASEBALL

The LA Dodgers dominated Game 1 of the World Series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Clayton Kershaw has had prior troubles in his postseason appearances, but last night he overcame those struggles and only allowed just one run in six innings. Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts also contributed to the Dodgers’s impressive 8-3 win.  Even though it’s only one win, 20 of the last 25 World Series champions won Game 1 of the series.  Game 2 tonight at 8:08 pm ET.

In other baseball news, MLB’s Ownership Committee approved Steve Cohen’s bid to buy the NY Mets. Cohen’s net worth is $14.6 billion, which, in a league without a salary cap, could make a difference for the team.
