Gronkowski Retires, Duke Barely Survives

FOOTBALL

It’s now official. The fun-loving future Hall of Fame Patriots tight end, Rob Gronkowski, announced his retirement. In an Instagram post, Gronk stated, “It all started at 20 years old on stage at the NFL draft when my dream came true, and now here I am about to turn 30 in a few months with a decision I feel is the biggest of my life so far. I will be retiring from the game of football today.” Patriots coach Bill Belichick called Gronk “one of the most complete players at his position” and said, “His production spoke for itself, but his daily attitude, unmistakably positive energy wherever he went and toward whoever he touched will never be forgotten. Rob will leave an indelible mark on the Patriots organization and the game as among the best, most complete players at his position to ever play.”

BASKETBALL

In many NCAA brackets, Duke is projected to win the whole tournament (and at the very least make it to the Final Four), but on Sunday night, Duke barely escaped a loss to ninth seeded Central Florida. If it wasn’t for a shot that bounced off the rim but not into the basket, Duke would be out of the tournament. Duke 77, Central Floria 76.
