Lindor Shaves Head For HS Team, Yankees Finally Lose But Still Energized

BASEBALL

Cleveland Indians’ All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor made a bet with his former high school that he would shave his head if the Montverde Academy’s baseball team finished the season undefeated. When the team went 25-0, he held up his end of the bet and showed up at their high school assembly ready to be shaved.

The Yankees have been on fire this season earning 10 come from behind wins. The streak ended with a loss to the Red Sox on Thursday night (only their second loss in 19 games), but their attitude remains confident and strong. Yankees right fielder, Aaron Judge described the feeling among team members “It’s just go out there and get the job done. When the crowd starts getting a little crazy and gets behind us, it’s just go up there, have quality at-bats and see what happens.”  The Red Sox and Yankees are tied for first place in the American League East with 26 wins 11 losses.
