Celtics Win Series, Rozier And Bledsoe’s Rosé, Colt’s 1st Rounder Wins Primary, Manning Mulling Ownership

BASKETBALL

In another crazy close game against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics pulled off the win to finish the series (4-1) and will now take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals. Game 1 on Sunday in Boston. Celtics 114, Sixers 112.

After the game, the Cavs’ guard Terry Rozier (who’s having a great series) finally met former New England Patriots’ quarterback Drew Bledsoe. The two athletes had an ongoing discourse during the playoffs thanks to Rozier accidentally calling Milwaukee Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe “Drew Bledsoe”. Eric Bledsoe then pretended he didn’t know Rozier. Rozier responded by wearing a Drew Bledsoe jersey to a game. Fast forward to last night, and Rozier and Drew finally met. In a post-game interview, Drew Bledsoe mentioned he was a big fan of Rozier and jokingly said they’d be developing a wine together (Bledsoe owns a winery in Washington). He said,  “Well he’s going to be developing a wine inspired by Rozier. A “Terry Rosé” and ” it would have a great finish.”

FOOTBALL

Former Indianapolis Colts first round pick, Anthony Gonzalez, won the Republican primary for the 16th district in Ohio. He was endorsed by Peyton Manning and Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam. The former wide receiver, who had his career cut short due to knee injuries, will face off against Susan Moran Palmer in November.

Speaking of Peyton Manning, the future Hall of Famer, has been asked to join an ownership group, led by Ben Navarro, bidding on the Carolina Panthers.  Manning has had many job offers since retiring (including running for office) but has turned them all down.
