Patrick Mahomes Leads Chiefs To Big Win Over Niners, Entertaining Halftime Show, Jeep’s Groundhog Day Wins Top Spot

FOOTBALL

In a Super Bowl that will be talked about for the ages, the Kansas City Chiefs overcame a 10-point 4th quarter deficit to beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20. Kanas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes kept his cool and helped the Chiefs score 21 points in the fourth quarter. At only 24 years old, Mahomes becomes only the second player (Emmitt Smith was the first) to win MVP honors and a Super Bowl title before their 25th birthday. The big win marks coach Andy Reid’s first Championship win in 21 years and the team’s first win in 50 years. Congratulations to the Chiefs on a hard-fought victory. As we all know, the Super Bowl isn’t just about football, it’s about the $5 million 30-second commercials, the pre-game ceremonies, and the adrenaline-filled halftime show. Starting with Yolanda Adams’s beautiful performance of “America the Beautiful” then Demi Lovato’s chilling rendition of the National Anthem, we knew we would be in for a good evening. And then came the halftime show and WOW! Shakira and Jennifer Lopez were insanely good. It’s impossible to even describe, you just need to watch it (or watch it again).

And then there were the ads. According to USA Today’s Ad Meter, Jeep’s Groundhog Day featuring Bill Murray won the top spot followed by Hyundai’s Smaht Pahk, and Google’s Loretta. For a list of all the top spots, click here.
