Ortiz Shot In Back, Will Durant Return For Game 5, Nadal Makes History
BASEBALL
Former Boston Red Sox superstar David Ortiz, affectionately known as Big Papi, was shot in the back while at a bar in the Dominican Republic on Sunday. The bullet went through his stomach, but he’s reportedly in stable condition. As of Monday morning, the police do not know the motive of the shooter.
BASKETBALL
After a big win over the weekend, Toronto now leads the NBA Finals 3-1 over Golden State. The big question on everyone’s mind is whether Warriors star Kevin Durant will return for Game 5 Monday night at 9:00 pm ET in Toronto. Durant has missed 9 straight games and hasn’t played since May 8th. If the Raptors are victorious, they will capture their first championship in franchise history.
TENNIS
Rafael Nadal made history by winning his 12th French Open title. Nadal beat Dominic Thiem in four sets and became the only person to ever win the same major tournament 12 times.
