Wyndham Clark Wins U.S. Open, Ja Morant Ninth-Longest Suspension, Jordan Selling Majority Stake In Hornets For $3Bill, Suns Sign Bradley Beal

GOLF

Wyndham Clark won his first major PGA Tour title at the U.S. Open this week.  The 29-year-old had previously never finished better than 75th in any major. Rory McIlroy finished second.

BASKETBALL

The Memphis Grizzlies star player, Ja Morant, has been suspended 25 games (which is basically 1/3 of the NBA season) for flashing a gun on social media (his second time doing so). The suspension is tied for the ninth-longest ban on a player in NBA history.

NBA legend Michael Jordan is selling his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets for $3 billion to a group led by Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall. Jordan bought his majority share in the team in 2010 for $275 million. Jordan will still have a minority stake in the franchise.

The Phoenix Suns acquired Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards. Beal will join the all-star lineup of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton.
