Braves Win World Series, Soler MVP, Raiders Release Ruggs
BASEBALL
The Atlanta Braves beat the Houston Astros in Game 6 to win their first World Series title in 26 years. The Braves started the season slowly but hit their stride in the postseason. Outfielder Jorge Soler, whom the Braves traded for in July, was named the MVP after hitting his third home run of the series Tuesday night.
FOOTBALL
The Las Vegas Raiders released receiver Henry Ruggs III after he was involved in a deadly car accident Tuesday night. Ruggs was booked on charges of DUI after his car collided with another vehicle resulting in the death of the woman driving the other car.
