Egg Bowl Lost By Imitating Dog Urinating, Saints Secure Playoff Spot, Bills Close, Lions Out

The Egg Bowl, played annually between Mississippi State University and Ole Miss, is always a big game, but this year’s rivalry will go down as one of the most memorable. With four seconds left, Ole Miss redshirt freshman quarterback Matt Corral threw a touchdown to receiver Elijah Moore, making the score 21-20. With a successful extra point, Ole Miss could have won the game. Instead, the team received a 15-yard penalty because Moore celebrated in the end zone by pretending to urinate like a dog on a fire hydrant. The kicker missed the extra point and the game went to Mississippi State.
In the NFL, the New Orleans Saints secured the first playoff spot of the season, clinching the NFC South with their 26-18 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Buffalo Bills are also close to a playoff berth after their 26-15 victory over Dallas. In the third Thanksgiving Day game, the Detroit Lions lost again (24-20 to the Chicago Bears) and are now officially out of playoff contention.
