Opening Day In MLB, Rule Changes For Shorter More Exciting Games, Adam Silver As Disney CEO?

BASEBALL

Today is Opening Day for Major League Baseball. There are a slew of new rules to follow (here’s a good guide), but the main goal of the changes is to shorten the length of the games and increase the action. In 2021, the longest game stretched 3 hours and 10 minutes.

Now, there is a pitch clock, shift restrictions, limited pickoffs, and bigger bases.

BASKETBALL

Disney is looking to appoint a new CEO, and there’s a rumor that NBA commissioner Adam Silver is in the running. Silver has denied he’s interested in the job.
