Broncos Look Awful, Hopkins Injury, Anderson Traded To Cardinals, Yankees Win

FOOTBALL

Former MVP Quarterback Russell Wilson and the entire Denver Broncos team looked awful in their loss to the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football. For the second straight week, the Broncos lost in overtime, and this week it was due to a muffed punt leading the Chargers’ Dustin Hopkins to make the game-winning kick. What was particularly impressive is that Hopkins made four field goals during the game while obviously in pain. As it turns out, he has a hamstring injury and will miss the next 2-4 weeks. Chargers 19, Broncos 16

The Carolina Panthers will trade wide receiver Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals for a 6th-round pick in 2024 and a 7th-round pick in 2025.  Anderson was ejected by his own coaches during last week’s loss to the LA Rams. Anderson claims he didn’t know why he was ejected.

BASEBALL

The New York Yankees advanced to the ALCS by beating the Cleveland Guardians 5-1 on Tuesday night. The final four are now set:

NLCS: Phillies vs Padres

ALCS: Yankees vs Astros
