Basketball Hall Of Fame Announced, Record Setter Tom Dempsey Passes Away From Coronavirus, Gronk 24/7 Champ

The Basketball Hall of Fame announced Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett will be inducted into the 2020 class. Former NBA coach Rudy Tomjanovich, Baylor women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey, former Division II women’s coach Barbara Stevens, former Division I men’s coach Eddie Sutton, former FIBA executive Patrich Baumann, and former WNBA star Tamika Catchings will also be inducted.  The ceremony is scheduled for August 29th at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA.

Tom Dempsey, the NFL kicker who set a record in 1970 for a 63-yard field goal (a record he held until it was equaled in 1998 and then surpassed in 2013), died over the weekend due to complications from coronavirus. Dempsey had been battling Alzheimer’s disease and dementia when he contracted the virus at his senior center in New Orleans. Dempsey was 73 years old.

Record-setting former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski retired from the NFL last season, but the fun-loving Gronk has found plenty of gigs to keep him busy. He recently hosted WrestleMania36 and while hosting jumped off a balcony to grab the WWE 24/7 title. Check out how much fun he’s having.
