Brady Makes History W/4th Q Comeback, Verlander Signs W/Mets, Japan/South Korea Out Of World Cup, New Investment Opps For NBA Teams

FOOTBALL

Tom Brady made history yet again on Monday Night Football by throwing a late game-winning touchdown to give Tampa Bay a 17-16 win over New Orleans. Brady now has the most fourth-quarter comebacks in NFL history, surpassing Peyton Manning.

BASEBALL

American League Cy Young Award winner, Justin Verlander, signed a two-year $86 million deal with the NY Mets. In 2022, Verlander helped the Houston Astros win the World Series.

SOCCER

In World Cup news, Croatia beat Japan, and Brazil cruised past South Korea.

BASKETBALL

The NBA can now allow sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and University endowments to invest in teams. These funds can only be passive investments and can’t hold any governance rights with the teams. The NBA also mentioned that each investment will take into consideration human rights records and geopolitical standings.
