Bucs Vs Cowboys In NFL Kickoff, Prescott Starting First Time Since Ankle Injury, Brady Oldest Non-Kicker Starter, Saints Return Home Week 4, Raducanu Makes History At Open

FOOTBALL

The NFL season kicks off tonight with the defending Super Bowl champs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, against the Dallas Cowboys (the most valuable sports franchise ($6.92 billion) in North America according to Sportico). Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will start for the first time since his ankle injury caused him to sit out most of the 2020 season. Bucs quarterback Tom Brady (44 years and 37 days old) will take the field as the oldest non-kicker to start in a Week 1 NFL game.

After having to leave town due to Hurricane Ida, the New Orleans Saints will return home for week 4 against the New York Giants. They will start the season playing in Jacksonville, Florida this weekend.

TENNIS

Emma Raducanu has already made history at the U.S. Open. The eighteen-year-old became the first qualifier (female or male) to reach the semifinals of the Open. And, in the men’s bracket, Novak Djokovic won his 11th straight quarterfinal match, a career-best.
