Trae Young Sprained Ankle, Middleton Propels Bucks, Suns Take 3-1 Lead, Controversy Over Kidd/Billups

Atlanta Hawks Trae Young sprained his ankle in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. Late in the third quarter Young stepped on a referees foot and didn’t look  the same the rest of the game. He said his ankle is still sore and unsure how he he’ll feel for Game 4 on Tuesday night. Khris Middleton was the star of the game for the Bucks scoring 20 of his career high 38 points in the fourth quarter to help the Bucks go up 2-1 in the series.

In the Western Conference finals, the Phoenix Suns took a 3-1 series lead over the LA Clippers. The Clippers will try and avoid elimination on Monday in Game 5.

In other NBA news, there’s been some controversy over the recent reports that the Dallas Mavericks plan to hire Jason Kidd to be their next head coach, and the Portland Trail Blazers intend to hire Chauncey Billups. Both coaches have checkered pasts, with Kidd pleading guilty to spousal abuse in 2001, and Billups accused (but never charged) with rape in an incident in 1997.
