Curry Sets Another Record, LeBron’s Take On New Play-In Format, Astros In NY After Sign-Stealing

BASKETBALL

Steph Curry continues to set records. On Tuesday night, with 58 games under his belt, he became the fastest player to hit 300 3-pointers in a single season.

In other NBA news, LeBron James has very publicly complained about the new postseason play-in format. Here’s how it works: The top six seeds in each conference are in, while the #7 and #8th compete for the #7th spot. The loser of that matchup plays the winner of the 9th and 10th seeds for the final 8th spot. LeBron stated, “Whoever came up with that s— needs to be fired.” The Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban (whose team as of now is not guaranteed a playoff spot) has also been critical of this new format.

The Houston Astros made their first trip to New York since their infamous sign-stealing scandal became public in 2019, which the Yankees believed cost them the 2017 World Series. As you can imagine, there was plenty of trash-talking during the Yanks 7-3 win.
