Manchester United Protesters, Medina Spirit Wins Derby, Pine Valley Allows Women

Manchester United fans caused a riot ensuring that the the game against Liverpool would be postponed. The protesters were upset with the owners of the team (who also own the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers) for their intention to join the now defunct European Super League.

HORSE RACING

Medina Spirit won the 147th running of the Kentucky Derby, the first leg of the Triple Crown. With the win, trainer Bob Buffett records his 7th Derby victory, and jockey John Velasquez has now won the Derby twice in the past 9 months.  Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was in attendance with his girlfriend Shailene Woodley. Next up is the Preakness Stakes on May 15th in Baltimore.

The number 1 ranked golf course in the US, Pine Valley, will now allow female members for the first time in 108 years. The Club, which is located in New Jersey, boasts a secret list of 1000 membersd
