In some upsetting college football news, Alabama star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is out for the season. During the Crimson Tide’s 38-7 blowout win over Mississippi State on Saturday, Tua disclocated his hip and is scheduled to have hip surgery on Monday. In NFL news, Lamar Jackson became the first player in Baltimore Ravens’ history to deliver four or more touchdown passes in multiple games. On Sunday, in a rout agains the Houston Texans, Jackson threw four touchdown passes, and in the season opener against Miami, he threw five touchdown passes. Ravens 41, Houston 7

New York Jets’ quarterback Sam Darnold got out of his interception funk and threw for a career-high four touchdowns, giving the team a much-needed 34-17 win over the Washington Redskins.

Colin Kaepernick worked out in front of 8 NFL teams on Saturday but created some controversy when he changed the venue at the last minute. Twenty-five teams were supposed to attend at the original location. The teams in attendance were the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins, and Tennessee Titans.
