The Nationals’ mania continues with their Game 2 World Series win over the Houston Astros on Wednesday night. In the seventh inning with the score tied at 2-2, Nationals’ catcher Kurt Suzuki, hit a homer and unleashed an onslaught of runs leading the Nationals to a 12-3 stomping. The Series now heads to D.C. The Nationals are on an 18-2 run and are 10-2 in the playoffs. Game 3 on Friday night.
Four-time Olympic gold medalist and Houston hometown hero, Simone Biles, used her acrobatic skills to throw out the first pitch before Game 2.

The NBA season is underway and the Philadelphia 76ers’ Tobias Harris has already made an impact. On Tuesday afternoon, he announced he’s donating $1M to 9 different charities with over $600,000 going to charities based in Philadelphia. Tobias said, “We need our community, we need our city to be behind us. And we have to empower our city and kids, young kids who look up to us as athletes, as basketball players.”
