BASEBALL

The Washington Nationals won their first World Series game in franchise history with a 5-4 victory over the Houston Astros on Tuesday night. Nationals’ star Juan Soto also set a record, becoming the second-youngest player in baseball history (three days before his 21st birthday) to hit a home run in his first World Series outing.

Every taco fan in America had something to celebrate on Tuesday when Nationals’ shortstop Trea Turner stole second base activating the Taco Bell “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promotion.

FOOTBALL

Within a few hours of the New England Patriots making headlines for acquiring wide receiver Mohammed Sanu, the San Francisco 49ers took the spotlight and announced they were trading with the Denver Broncos for wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. According to Broncos’ General Manager John Elway,  “Emmanuel had issues and we had issues, so that’s why it was a good time for us to go in different directions. … With that being said, we were able to get the value we thought was fair, so that’s why we decided to make the deal.”
