The New Orleans Pelicans will have to wait 6-8 weeks for their #1 draft pick Zion Williamson to join the team. Zion has a torn meniscus and had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The Pelicans’ season begins Tuesday night, and Zion’s injury is a major loss for the team.
FOOTBALL
The New England Patriots destroyed the New York Jets on Monday night. With a 33-0 shut out, the Patriots are now 7-0 for the season, setting a record for their third 7-0 start in team history.
The Patriots ended the evening with more good news. The Atlanta Falcons agreed to trade receiver Mohamed Sanu to New England giving quarterback Tom Brady another great receiving option.
