Astros Vs Nationals In World Series, Washington Attempts Camouflage Play, Carr Causes Touchback, 49ers Undefeated

BASEBALL

FOOTBALL

In college football over the weekend, #25 ranked Washington attempted a creative trick play against #12 ranked Oregon. On a kickoff return, Washington, whose uniforms are purple, had one of their receivers lay down in the end zone and attempt to blend in with the purple turf so he wouldn’t be noticed. He then received a pass from his teammate. The only problem is camouflage is against the rules, and Washington was called for an unsportsmanlike conduct foul. The NCAA states that “any players who ‘lay down and ‘hide’ in the end zone’ or elsewhere on the field should be treated as injured and removed from the game for a play.” Oregon 25, Washington 21

It was an ugly victory, but the San Francisco 49ers remain undefeated in their three field goal win (thanks to kicker Robbie Gould) over the Washington Redskins. The only other undefeated team so far is the New England Patriots (who play on Monday night vs the New York Jets)
