Nationals Heading To World Series, Astros Take 2-1 Lead, Ramsey To Rams, HS Soccer Player Breaks Record

BASEBALL

The Washington Nationals swept the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series and are heading to the franchise’s first World Series. Eighty-six years ago Washington clinched a spot in the World Series, but back then the Team was called the Senators, and these original Senators lost to the New York Giants. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out The Nationals’ Gerardo Parra heading to the plate while the entire stadium claps and sings to his walk-up song “Baby Shark. He’s not the first player to feature the song (Elvis Andrus of the Texas Rangers uses it as well), but the children’s tune really took off thanks to Parra.

In the American League Championship Series, the Houston Astros took a 2-1 lead over the New York Yankees. Game 4 is on Wednesday night.

FOOTBALL

The Jacksonville Jaguars traded cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams for 3 draft picks. Ramsey had one more year left on his contract with the Jags, but made it clear (showed up to training camp in an armored bank truck) he wanted more money.

SOCCER

Congratulations to high school soccer player Chloe Delyser who broke the all-time national high school girls soccer scoring record.  With her 317th career goal, Chloe made history.
