Peyton’s retired, Eli’s been benched, but looks like we’ll see another Manning phenomenon in a few years. Archie and Olivia Manning’s grandson (Cooper’s son Arch), a 6-1 freshman in high school, is already making a name for himself and getting attention from both Eli’s and Peyton’s alma maters (Ole Miss and Tennessee).  According to granddad Archie, Arch is not talking to anyone yet. “Our theme is, ‘Let’s let Arch be a freshman.”

California’s recently signed bill allowing college athletes to be paid endorsements is getting the thumbs up from San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman. Sherman, who played at Stanford, said, “I hope it destroys the NCAA in general because I think it’s corrupt and it’s a bunch of people taking advantage of kids, and doing it under a mask of ‘fair play.” The Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green also criticized the NCAAA and called the organization a “dictatorship.”
