Eagles Embarrass Giants, Kaepernick Honored By Harvard

FOOTBALL

The Philadelphia Eagles embarrassed their rivals, the NY Giants on Thursday night with a lopsided 34-13 win. The only positive for the Giants was the impressive play of their top pick in the draft, running back Saquon Barkley.  Barkley (along with Kansas City Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt) are the only players to start their careers with over 100 yards in six consecutive games. The big question now is whether the Giants stick with two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Eli Manning or try and mix things up a bit to change the trajectory of their season.

Former quarterback Colin Kaepernick (along with eight other individuals) was honored by Harvard University with the W.E.B. Du Bois Medal “in recognition of their contributions to African and African American culture and the life of the mind.” Comedian Dave Chappell was among the honorees.
