Brees Makes History, Red Sox Destroy Yankees, Dodgers Advance Past Braves

FOOTBALL

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees made history on Monday night setting the record for the most passing yards in the NFL. Brees surpassed Peyton Manning’s previous record of 71,940 career passing yards. Brees was mic’d up during the game in anticipation of his special achievement. After his 62-yard touchdown throw locking in this milestone, the NFL stopped the game to recognize Brees and allow him to go to the sidelines and hug his wife and kids. Brees was heard saying to his sons,  “You can accomplish anything in life you’re willing to work for, right?” The always good-natured Manning posted a funny video congratulating Brees for breaking his record. Check it out!  New Orleans 43 Washington 19.
