Rockets Win 14 In Row, Warriors Visit DC, Martinez Uses Camels To Motivate

BASKETBALL

The Houston Rockets are on fire. They’ve now won 14 games in a row putting them 1/2 point ahead of the Golden State Warriors for the best record in the NBA. James Harden scored 25 points while Clint Capela and Eric Gordon each scored 22 points in the win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.

The NBA Champions traditionally visit the White House the following season when they are scheduled to play the Washington Wizards. This year was a bit different, however. After their Championship win last June, the Golden State Warriors discussed the idea of not visiting the White House, because they didn’t agree with President Trump’s policies. Trump then disinvited the team. The Warriors decided not to politicize their trip further by meeting with any politicians, so they took a bunch of kids to the National Museum of African American History and Culture instead. According to the official statement, the team will “constructively use our trip to the nation’s capital in February to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion — the values that we embrace as an organization.”
