Cubs Beat Nationals In Error Filled NLDS Game 5, Elliott Suspension Reinstated, Wentz Helps Eagles Win, Combs Wants NFL
BASEBALL
After 4 hours and 37 minutes, the Chicago Cubs beat the Washington Nationals in a bizarre, error filled game.  The Cubs were behind one run in the 5th inning, but then Nationals star reliever Max Scherzer came in the game, and everything went downhill. After a complete meltdown by the Nationals, the defending World Series champs the Cubs won 9-8 and move on to the National League Championship series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Unfortunately for the Nationals, they continue to look for their first post-season win in franchise history. They have lost in the NLDS in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
FOOTBALL
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott could miss 6 games after his suspension for domestic violence is reinstated by the U.S. Court of Appeals. The Cowboys are on a bye this week, but the suspension will start immediately.  Other appeals will follow, but Elliott could be out until November 30th.
On Thursday Night Football, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz put on a show with three touchdowns and 222 yards for a 28-23 win over the Carolina Panthers. The Eagles are now 5-1.
With all of the controversy surrounding the NFL these past few seasons, entertainment mogul, Sean Diddy Combs, tweeted he’d be interested in not only owning an NFL team but buying the entire League. “I did have a dream to own a NFL team but now my dream is to own our own league! A league where you can be yourself. Have a retirement plan. . . . Have freedom to be a great human and protest for your people without being demonized for your beliefs as a KING!! NEW DREAM ALERT!!!!â€
