Busch Wins Daytona, Curry Helps Fan Win $5K

NASCAR

Kurt Busch won NASCAR’s most prestigious race, the Daytona 500 on Sunday after a day filled with multiple wrecks. One of the main stories going into the race was the return of Dale Earnhardt Jr, but he crashed out early on leaving the field open.  Busch was unable to race in last year’s Daytona due to a domestic abuse issue from his former girlfriend. Busch came back a few races later when no criminal charges were filed. With the win, Busch brings a win to his new owner (and former NASCAR driver) Tony Stewart. As Stewart said, “I ran this damn race (17) years ago and couldn’t win it. Finally won it as an owner.”

BASKETBALL

During a timeout in the Warriors/Nets game, Steph Curry left his team’s huddle to assist a female fan who was competing in a skeeball contest on the court. Curry helped her win $5000 dollars.
