San Diego Chargers May Move To LA, Westbrook’s 18th Triple-Double

FOOTBALL

San DiegoIt looks likely the  San Diego Chargers franchise will be moving a couple of hours north to Los Angeles where they’ll share a new/modern stadium with the Los Angeles Rams. The stadium is scheduled to be ready by 2019. The Chargers have been trying for years to rebuild their outdated stadium in San Diego but haven’t been able to get the financing. The NFL has given the Team until January 17th to officially make the decision regarding the move. If they don’t decide by then, the option to share the stadium with the Rams (close to the LA airport) will go to the Oakland Raiders. In 1960 the Chargers played one year in LA before moving the franchise to San Diego.  The official announcement should come soon.

BASKETBALL

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook recorded his 18th triple-double of the season Wednesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.  With 42 games left in the season, Westbrook has already tied his own record from last year (and Michael Jordan’s record) for the most triple-doubles since the 1981-2 season.
